FOURMILEWATER CEMETERY APPEAL
Thank you for your recent contributions. Now at €6,220. Work is almost complete on our extension, and we will soon be relaying the main path for safety reasons. Obviously, there will be a cost to the parish of approx. €40,000 to implement this necessary extension and upgrade of our cemetery in Fourmilewater.

HOLY SOULS NOVENA CONTINUES THIS WEEK
Apologies for the cancellation of the Mass in Grange and Ballybacon last week. This was decided for everyone’s safety and in consultation with local Parish Council Reps, due to the very bad weather and localised flooding.
The meeting scheduled in Grange for those in ministries or who would like to help will now take place this Wednesday 9th November after the 7pm evening Mass.

MEETING WITH PARISHONERS AND ALL INVOLVED IN MINISTERIES
A short general meeting with parishioners and all involved or who would like to get involved in ministries (readers, ministers, choirs, flower arrangers, collectors, sacristans, parents of servers) will take place in each church in the coming weeks, after the evening Mass for the Holy Souls Novena. This is just an opportunity to thank all involved in ministries, how I or the diocese can help support these roles, and to encourage more parishioners to become involved and play an active part in their parish. Everyone is welcome to see how we can grow our parish community across our local parish churches.

ARDFINNAN COMMUNITY COUNCIL …thanks everyone for their support at last weekends Church Gate Collection for the Senior Citizens Christmas Party in Ardfinnan on Sunday December 11th. This is the first Senior Citizen’s Christmas Party since before Covid.
NEWCASTLE MUINTIR NA TIRE COMMUNITY COUNCIL …CONGRATULATIONS on the official opening of the newly extended and renovated Community Hall in Newcastle which is much appreciated by everyone on the committee for their dedication.

Please contact Paddy in the Parish Office on 052-746 4408 or Fr Michael in Newcastle / Fourmilewater for those who wish to book baptisms in the coming months. We can now have two families at one time – but would ask that each family only bring a maximum of 15 people with them, to keep us all safe.
