Mass times as per our usual weekend timetable.
Sat 16th March: 5pm – Newcastle / 6.30pm Ardfinnan
Sun 17th March: 9am Fourmilewater / 10.30am Grange / 12 noon Ballybacon.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION WEEKEND MASSES
CONGRATULATIONS to all our 2nd Class students who made their First Penance this week. This weekend, we welcome them and their parents to the final gathering of our ‘Grow in Love’ parish masses. The children and their parents will be involved from time to time in the readings, offertory, and other reflections at our community weekend Mass, in preparation of them receiving their First Holy Communion in the spring.

CONFIRMATIONS
Best wishes and prayers to our Confirmation Candidates making their Confirmation on Monday in Ardfinnan and Grange. We pray the gifts of the Holy Spirit will inspire them in their faith and life journey.

MASSES THIS WEEK
Due to Confirmations, there will be NO MASS on Monday in Newcastle 11th March.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
These will be prayed after morning Masses on the following dates in Lent:
Fri 15 March Ardfinnan
Thu 21 March Newcastle
Wed 27 March Fourmilewater

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY – and we remember all our mothers and those like mothers to us who have gone to their eternal reward.

TROCAIRE APPEAL
The boxes for donations and information about this year’s appeal are available in all Church Porches. Thank you in advance for your usual generous support for those in greatest need in our world at this time.

DAFFODIL DAY FRI 22ND MARCH
Coffee morning in aid of Irish Cancer Society in Ardfinnan community centre from 9 to 12.

CONNECTING COMMUNITY ROADSHOWS WITH WATERFORD CITY AND COUNTY COUNCIL

Are you looking to establish or develop a community group, to secure funding opportunities for your community, or just interested in making your community the best possible place to live? Come along to our Connecting Communities Roadshows, where you can meet service providers from your area and talk about your vision for the place you call home. Wednesday 20th March – Ballymacarbry Community Hall anytime from 6pm-8.30pm. See you there!

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
This takes place in our parishes on:
Tuesday’s 10-11am in Ardfinnan
Friday’s 2.30-3.30 in Newcastle
Everyone is welcome to come and spend some time in quiet prayer and adoration.

Grange Community Spring Clean-up
The annual 2024 Community Spring Clean-up by the GDA Tidy Village Group takes place this year from Monday, March 11th until Wednesday, March 27th. Volunteers are meeting on Tuesdays, March 12thth, 19th and 26th at 6.00.pm at the Community Hall to collect litter in the village and on the approach roads and other work. The school are also taking part. All members of the community can help in the Spring Clean-up by removing any litter or weeds and maintaining the grass verges in their area. Any litter collected must be put in special An Taisce bags which are available from Noreen Doheny (087 6964975) or any Tidy Village volunteer or through the school.
The collection by the Council of the An Taisce litter bags will take place on Wednesday, March 27th. Bags should be left at the school or at the Village Green before 11.00 a.m. All help appreciated.
